Big Banana Holding Co Ltd (Big Banana) was established in May 1985 and launched its first restaurant, Pizzas in Paradise, at historic Redcliffe Quay, in St.John’s Antigua.

Since then, "Pizzas", as it is more affectionately known by locals, has established itself as a local hot spot and meeting point.

The New Location

The new building is completely different to the old Pizza's location. It's a completely different setting, much more modern & minimalistic.   The building is a cool & soothing grey with all new furniture and ovens etc - lots of stainless steel & electric blue.   They didn't want to move into a completely enclosed environment, so the front half of each level has open air verandahs with ceiling fans and inside there is air conditioning for when it gets really hot!   The menu has hardly changed and the prices not at all!

Jeff explains the reasoning for this "we didn't want our regular customers to feel that Big Banana was no longer 'Big Banana' - a fancy new building with a different menu and expensive prices.   The atmosphere and environment isn't the same as before, everything has it's time, has it's day but, we still want our customers to feel at home, to feel that Big Banana is still the place to get a great pizza, have a drink after work, meet friends, bring the family.   We continue to offer the same delivery service for those who can't get to us.
